CORCOVADO MOUNTAIN AND SUGAR LOAF

This tour will take you to visit the main attractions of Rio, Christ the Redeemer Statue and Sugar Loaf Mountain.

 

From the top of the Corcovado (710 meters high), that is inside the National Park of Tijuca, you  will  have one of the most beautiful views of Rio (North Zone, Downtown and South Zone). It is possible to see  the famous beaches, Maracanã (soccer stadium), Sugar Loaf and other interesting spots.

 

After, you will visit the Sugar Loaf mountain, another famous landmark of the city of Rio de Janeiro. The Sugar loaf is located close to the foundation area of the city. You will learn some historical facts, the meaning of the name of the mountain, and what Rio residents (cariocas) really like to do at Urca neighborhood.

 

To go up to the Sugar Loaf (396 m high) we will need to take the telepheric (bondinho). The first stop will be at the Urca Hill (220 m high) and after Sugar Loaf. From the top, you will appreciate the view of Copacabana and Leme beaches. You will also have a magnific view of the Guanabara Bay, the view of the Corcovado mountain where Christ the Redeemer statue is located and other interesting places.

Sugar Loaf/Corcovado-van (will be bought at the ticket Office - guides have priority), Corcovado-tram (should be bought at the website in advance);

Not included tickets, food and drinks  / recommended to use sunblock and comfortable shoes.

*The duration of this tour depends on the location of your hotel. This 6-hours tour considering that your hotel is located in the South Zone (Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon) or Downtown (Centro). Check an estimate duration if your hotel is located in a different neighborhood.
